Thank You for Such an Overwhelming Response!

The interview aired yesterday (and will also air at lunch today) on Global News in Edmonton. In case you missed the news clip, you can find it at their site online, along with an awesome write-up.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who heard my call to find a home for my girls. They are excited that so many people have come forward.

I am so grateful to be living in a community with so many wonderful people. My daughters are excited to know that there is a family out there that will be able to take them in and I'm starting to feel a sense of relief that I haven't felt in months. I look forward to get to know some of you in the coming week; you have all reminded me why I chose Edmonton to be my home.

It will take a day or two to read through so many responses and I will try to reply to as many as I can and will keep everyone updated via this blog.

With Sincere Regards,
Sarah

I wish I lived near you... I would gladly take on the challenges of your daughters to raise as mine... My husband and I raised to fine young men who are now married. I miss the times spent nurturing them and guiding along their paths to adulthood. I only wish you well in your vigilant quest to find peace in your heart as to who will be the lucky parental units to care and grow your children... you are a very brave mum... sincerely with tears. That's so great to hear, all the best for your girls, I can't even imagine but it's nice to see that there are still good people who want to do the right thing still :)

I'm so relieved to hear that you've had people come forward. My heart was breaking for you as I was reading your post. I have children, and to be separated from them would devastate me. I'm sure that you will find some amazing people who will take care of your precious little ones, and make sure that you are still able to be a big part of their lives. I wish I could help, but don't live close enough, so the best I could do was share your post. God bless.

My heart broke for you while reading your post. I'm so glad to hear that you have gotten such a wonderful response. Wish that I didn't live a province away, but I shared your post anyway just in case! :) I'm sure that you'll find someone who's perfect. God bless.

Sarah, just hearing your story. What an amazing mom you are. I'd look after these sweeties in heartbeat but I'm miles away. It sounds like you are well on your way and hopefully this connection will be made soon.

This is such an amazing thing to hear! We live in Ontario and the piece aired here as well, I was heart broken that we didn't live closer to each other and weren't able to help because of this. My family and I will be praying for wisdom for you as you make this tough decision as well as for protection and peace for you and your daughters.

Wow. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I pray that you find a wonderful and caring family to take care of your girls that is close by so that you can still visit with them regularly. You are a wonderful mother to do what you are doing! I will share your story--I just know that there is a happy ending out there for you, Emma and Emily!
